Laura Schenkel is a seasoned Financial Operations and Accounting leader with expertise in managing complex accounting and reporting tasks. Her strategic mindset and deep understanding of financial systems enable her to provide valuable guidance and insights to executive decision-makers. Laura has served as the Chief Financial Officer at a higher education foundation where she managed over $70 million in assets. Her responsibilities included auditing, budgeting, financial analysis, capital asset management, and payroll. Her strategic vision contributed significantly to achieving the foundation’s financial objectives. Prior to the foundation, Laura held key positions at other non-profits, manufacturing and commercial distributors where she successfully led process improvements, drove efficiencies, optimized budgeting and increased cost savings. Her expertise in accounting, data analysis and risk management have allowed her to implement innovative strategies that aligned with each organization’s goals. Laura holds a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting from Bloomsburg University, and a Master’s degree in Business Administration from the University of Scranton. Laura is passionate about fostering a culture of transparency and collaboration within the organization and is dedicated to guiding organizations toward sustainable financial success.
